Biography
Mr. Assaily joined Barnes, Iaccarino & Shepherd as an attorney in 2023.
Abrahim’s practice predominantly focuses on union side labor law. He has worked with unions in collective bargaining negotiations and represented unions in arbitrations as well as before the National Labor Relations Board and New York State Public Employment Relations Board. He also works to advise unions and their officers on contracts, strategies, and internal governance.
Prior to joining the firm, Abrahim received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law where he focused on Labor and Human Rights Law. Throughout his time at law school, Abrahim interned at many different labor side organizations, both public and private. He was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal where he had the role of Symposium Editor. In that role he organized a symposium on the topic of labor strategies and the supply chain, bringing together labor leaders, scholars, and attorneys from around the world. His commitment to improving the lives of working people was recognized by Fordham University when he was named the Public Interest Valedictorian for his graduating class.
Prior to law school Abrahim graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Master’s Degree in International Relations and a post-graduate Master’s Degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies.
