Biography
Mr. Saleem joined Barnes, Iaccarino & Shepherd in 2025. His practice focuses on labor and employment law, representing unions and employees. He is admitted to the New York State Bar and the Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts of New York.
Mr. Saleem graduated from the University of Florida and Emory Law School. Mr. Saleem started his legal career as a public defender for the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem before making the shift to labor and employment law. He previously worked for the SEIU Local 32BJ as well as the United States Department of Labor's Office of the Solicitor.
Mr. Saleem has practiced in the fields of criminal law, private and public sector labor, wage and employment law, ERISA, and workplace safety and health law. He has represented individuals, labor unions, class actions, and federal agencies in various venues in front of arbitrators, administrative law judges, and city, state, and federal judges.
